In 3D laser scanning, GEO-METRIK surveys surfaces completely contactlessly and with the utmost precision using a laser beam. A distance meter sends a laser pulse that is deflected by a rotating mirror. Angle and distance are measured at every visible point in the measurement range and are then calculated as a three dimensional point coordinate. Our experienced staff can derive precise horizontal sections, elevations and vertical sections from the data obtained in this way.

What sounds complex is indeed high-tech. With the current generation of equipment, GEO-METRIK can not only measure distances, but can also capture objects with photographic precision using an integrated camera, thereby generating photo-realistic images. This offers great advantages, especially for listed building facades and complex technical installations.

As well as offering a high degree of accuracy, this method is exceptionally efficient because the use of a 3D laser scanner significantly reduces the time required for capturing objects. At the same time, the value of the captured data in terms of quality and quantity is significantly higher with laser scanning than with data obtained with a tachymeter measurement.
